From The Kiwanis President

I would like to thank everyone who attended this Kiwanis Club of St. Marys Independence Day Festival in downtown St. Marys. The weather was absolutely perfect day. The Kiwanis Club of St. Marys would like to thank the City of St. Marys for the incredible partnership we have in putting together a festival for all to enjoy over the last 42 years. The Kiwanis Club of St. Marys would also like to the entire Public Works, Fire and Police Departments of St. Marys for all of their efforts in helping us have a very successful festival.

We would also like to thank all of those from Kings Bay Submarine Base for their efforts in allowing this to be the most successful 5K and 10 K Races ever. We would also like to thank all of those who participated in the Parade to make it fun for everyone. A special thanks goes to the Camden County High School Marching Band who came and played for us. The entertainment was great all day at both the Main Stage and the Waterfront Stage and we thank you for entertaining us. We would also like to thank the efforts of the Camden County Sheriffs Department, Camden County Search and Rescue, the Coast Guard for working with us and all others who helped out in allowing all of us to have an incredible Fireworks Display.

As it is with a Festival this large, there are many people who help us with advertising, planning and detailing everything out so we have a very successful festival. I would like to thank everyone for their efforts and long hours. The greatest joy for us after a festival like this is knowing that we raised money to help the Children and Youth of Camden County. Thanks again and we have 2 months and 18 days until the Kiwanis Rock Shrimp Festival.
